Mental Health Treatment Center

The Mental Health Treatment Center (MHTC) is a newly proposed replacement for the existing Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail, which was built in 1963.

The Men’s Central Jail replacement plan is to include a new two-tower facility designed to house high-security inmates with mental health and other medical or substance-abuse issues.

GCC & Associates is assisting Los Angeles County under their CM contractor, CCTF Partners, in implementing a collaborative partnering program designed to ensure that multiple county stakeholder agencies and departments, as well as design and construction professionals, maintain the cohesive vision, mission, and covenants necessary to deliver this complex multi-billion facility to the citizens of Los Angeles County.
