Scope: GCC was contracted by APSI on behalf of the US General Services Administration to deliver facilitated Partnering for the new US Federal Courthouse in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Major stakeholders: Include US General Services Administration, United States Courts, Department of Justice US Marshal, US Bankruptcy Court, US Probation Southern District of Florida, US District Court Southern District of Florida, Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors, and APSI.
Project Description: The program is to design and build a new Federal Courthouse in accordance with the 30-year plan to include allocations of 228,215 sf of interior space, with 22,500sf of parking to include 50 secured enclosed spaces, with a total gross program of250,715sf. The facility will house Federal Justice tenants including 17 judges’ chambers, 7 U.S District Courtrooms, 3 U.S. Magistrate Courtrooms, 2 U.S. Bankruptcy Courtrooms, the U.S. Court of Appeals, U.S. District Clerk, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Clerk, as well as U.S. Probation Services, and offices of the U.S. Attorney, U.S. DOJ / UST, U.S. Marshals Service, and the General Services Administration
