Scope: GCC was contracted by Hensel Phelps Construction to deliver facilitated Partnering for the new Turlock North Valley Replacement Laboratory, located in Turlock, California.
Major stakeholders: Including California Department of General Services, California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), California Animal Health and Food Safety (CAHFS)Services, UC Davis, FLAD Architects, Roebbelen Construction Management, Hensel Phelps Construction.
Project Description: This project replaces the Northern San Joaquin Valley, California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) Laboratory for the California Animal Health and Food Safety (CAHFS) Services Division Program. The project is approximately 41,000 FSF on anew site of approximately 7.5 acres and will include office space to relocate and consolidate two CDFA Animal Health and Food Safety Services Division (AHFSS) branch offices. The new CAHFS laboratory will offer mammalian and avian necropsy/pathology, bacteriology, histology, immunology, molecular biology, and parasitology testing services in support of California’s agricultural industry.
