Scope: GCC was contracted by Pernix Groupon behalf of the Department of State, Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) to deliver facilitated Partnering for the new US Consulate Compound in Lagos Nigeria.
Major stakeholders: Included Department of State, Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), and Pernix Group as the Design-Builder.
Project Description: The New U.S. Consulate Compound includes the design-build of 15,716 m² of diplomatic space in the Consulate Office Building and 19,000 m² in the support buildings on 12.2 acres. The project will employ more than 2,500 Nigerians and infuse $90 million USD into the local economy. The Consulate Compound is part of the Eko Atlantic new development site on Victoria Island consisting of 10 million square meters of land reclaimed from the ocean and protected by an 8.5 km seawall.
