Harper Street Admin Building

Scope: GCC was contracted by Arup to deliver facilitated Partnering for the new Harper Street Admin Building in Queens, NY.

Major stakeholders: Include New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC), New York City Department of Transportation, Arup, and ST JV Construction.

Project Description: To meet the evolving needs of the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT), the Harper Street Yard Project will provide additions and improvements including a new administration building for DOT’s Fleet, Roadway Repair and Maintenance(RRM), and Central Auto Supply (CAS) units, a comprehensive redesign of the Harper Street Yardincluding repaving, regrading, resiliency provisions, and infrastructure enhancements of~170,000 square feet, and a new waste and stormwater conveyance system. The project also includes the provision for swing space to support 24×7 operations, followed by demolition of the existing Administration, Central Arterial Storage, and Gasoline Station Monitoring buildings.
