Scope: GCC was contracted by MBP on behalf of the Department of State, Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) to deliver facilitated Partnering for the new US Embassy Compound in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Major stakeholders: Included Department of State, Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), BL Harbert International, Page, and MBP.
Project Description: The Hanoi New Embassy Compound (NEC) is located on an 8.1-acre site adjacent to the Cau Giay Park, approximately six kilometers from Hanoi’s Central Business District. The architectural design involves a gradient concept representing the dynamism, ingenuity, and luminosity of the American diplomatic mission through the application of stainless steel, regional basalt, and glass elements. The campus to be constructed is equal to approximately 37,000 GSM. The project will be pursuing LEED Silver certification and involves implementation of a Conditions of Construction Agreement (COCA) with the host government.
