“Deliver a modern, welcoming gateway that enhances economic strength & community well-being, meets CBP mission requirements, and projects the American values of security, innovation, and freedom”
Period of Performance: 2023-2027
Scope: GCC was contracted by Jacobs to deliver facilitated Partnering for renovations to Land Ports of Entry in Calais Ferry, Coburn Gore, Fort Fairfield, and Houlton Maine.
Major stakeholders: Including GSA Region 1, Jacobs, Multiple world-class Design Firms, and Multiple General Contractors.
Project Description: Billions of dollars in goods and services cross U.S. borders every day. Recent supply chain challenges have underscored the importance of strengthening America’s ports, waterways, and freight networks. These projects will help make our economy more resilient to supply chain challenges. Modernizing our land ports will create good-paying jobs for working families and promote opportunities for small businesses. Adding commercial, passenger vehicle, and pedestrian inspection capacity will accommodate more traffic. This benefits the surrounding restaurants, stores, gas stations, and other businesses. These projects will improve the quality of life for anyone who lives nearby, or who works at or uses the border crossings. Modern, functional, and secure ports benefit economic and cultural conditions for both countries.
