F-35A Flight Simulator Facility and F-35A Squadron Operations Facility

Scope: GCC was contracted by ContiFederal to deliver facilitated Partnering for the new F-35A Flight Simulator Facility and F-35A Squadron Operations Facility project at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, TX.

Major stakeholders: Include Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC),301stFighter Wing, NAS Fort Worth JRB, Burns & McDonnell, Johnson-McAdams, and ContiFederal.

Project Description: The NAVFAC ContiFederal team will deliver the F-35A Flight Simulator Facility consisting of a 20,000 sf facility, supporting four Full Mission Simulators with offices paces, an ICD 705 compliant secure area with simulators, communications equipment room, debriefing rooms, helmet storage, maintenance rooms, secure comms, and secure storage. Additionally, they will deliver a 33,729 sf 2-story F-35A Squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance Facility to include equipment maintenance, ready room, administrative offices, locker rooms, flight operations desk, conference rooms, support spaces and an ICD/ICS 705 compliant secured area.
